The Thousand Natural Shocks – playlist

Tracklist below the read-more, for to be or not to be.

Check out the Spotify playlist here.

This playlist was put together long before to be or not to be was half-way to completion, so I don’t have as many close feelings about it as Guilt and Memory. I’m not sure I like the end, but the songs do work, especially the ones in bold.

All the Pretty Faces- The Killers (Smith struggling and not wanting to lose what he has, afraid he’s undeserving and will wreck it)
Alone and Sublime- Mother Mother
Don’t Wait Up- Robert DeLong
Haunt- Bastille (Sips and Trott talk)
Schism- Tool (Troffy fights)
Ruled by Secrecy- Muse (Smith screws up again)
My Friend Of Misery- Metallica (Troffy fight)
Warning Bell- Butterfly Boucher (Smith after Trott yells at him)
Are You Hurting The One You Love?- Florence + the Machine (Trott talking with Sips)
Hold Back The River- James Bay (Smith/Trott)
In Pieces- Foreigner [relationship trouble]
Bloodshot- Jack’s Mannequin [strain and stress]
Love is Blindness- Jack White
None the Wiser- Butterfly Boucher (guilty deeds, never get it right)
Mercy- Muse (wanting to run)
Burn- The Pretty Reckless (arson)
Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been (Acoustic)- Relient K (both Smith and Trott)
The Draw- Bastille (moved from Guilt and Memory)
Hoodoo- Muse (you could choose another path, you could make up for this. but this is you)
((“draw another picture, of the life you could of had, follow your instincts, and choose the other path” and “and I’ve had recurring nightmares that I was loved for who I am, and missed the opportunity to be a better man”))
